If your job is advising companies through complex IT transformations, your own website has to radiate exactly that: structure, speed and complete reliability. For Sebastian Kretzschmar one thing was clear from the start: a standard business card online would not do. In his line of work the "about me" page is often what decides whether a conversation happens at all.

So we built a site that does not just look right but is engineered for what is coming.

The goal was a platform that convinces people and machines alike:

  1. For people: an immediate experience with no waiting, which builds trust through deliberate storytelling and leads the visitor logically towards getting in touch.
  2. For machines (AI and Google): here we went a step further than usual. We optimised the site so that not only Google but modern AI models such as ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini can understand and reproduce the content accurately.

The result is a lean, high-performing Webflow site that positions Sebastian as a leading voice in his field.

What we did (tech and strategy)

A look under the bonnet, and why we chose these approaches:

1. Webflow and performance first

We went with clean code. No bloated themes, no dead weight.

  • The effect: the site loads almost instantly. That pleases impatient managers on a phone, and it is a substantial ranking factor besides.

2. Conversion design

The layout is not an accident. We steer the visitor's attention deliberately: from the personal introduction through the social proof (certifications and results) to a clear call to action. We removed the psychological hurdles so the threshold for making an enquiry is as low as it can be.

3. AI optimisation (GEO, generative engine optimisation)

This is the highlight of the project. With more and more people getting their answers from AI rather than a conventional search engine, we made the site readable by machines:

We added a dedicated file that serves AI bots the content of the site directly, with no design in the way, plain and structured. When an AI is asked "who is an expert in IT transformation in Mainz?", it can process that information far more efficiently than it could from a conventional website.

In the code we defined precisely who Sebastian is, what he does and what he is qualified in. That helps algorithms grasp the context, connecting a person to a service, for instance. It protects visibility for the long term in a world where search is changing radically.
